Maeve combines model making, photography and digital techniques in all of her visual stories. She’s fascinated by narrative structures (in stories and society as a whole), and how different kinds of characters and people are represented within them. This is all heavily informed by Maeve’s time working as an actor 20 years ago, where she often found herself wanting to play the male roles, which almost always were far more active and individual than those given to women. In Maeve’s creative work, she strives for every character to be an individual with a story of their own. Maeve is originally from The Netherlands but has made London (UK) her home 23 years ago.

Her creative inspiration comes from a limitless number of different directions:
